1. What information do we collect?
Information you give us
When you submit the enquiry form on our website, email us, or otherwise contact us, we collect the information you provide. On our enquiry form this is:
- your first and last name
- your email address
- your business name
- the type of business you represent and the services you are interested in
- how you found us, and any other details you choose to share about your project
Please do not send us sensitive personal information. All personal information you provide must be true, complete, and accurate, and you should tell us about any changes.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our website, our hosting and security providers automatically record standard technical information to deliver pages and protect the site. This may include your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, the pages you visit, the referring website, and the date and time of your visit. This information does not directly identify you, and we use it only for security, performance, and aggregate statistics about how the site is used.
The game and its leaderboard
You can play our game without giving us any personal information. If you choose to post to the public leaderboard, we collect:
- the display name you type, which is shown publicly on the leaderboard
- your run details: time, how far you got, leads collected, number of deaths, the hero and companion animal you chose, and your level times
- a one-way hashed code derived from your IP address, which we use only to stop spam and limit how often scores can be posted. We do not store your IP address itself, and the code cannot be turned back into it.
Please do not use your full name, an email address, or other personal details as your display name. Leaderboard entries are kept until we remove them or reset the leaderboard. You can ask us to delete your entry at any time by emailing us with the display name and the approximate date you posted it.
Cookies and similar technologies
Our website does not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. We use your browser’s storage only for small conveniences: temporary session storage to make page-to-page transitions smoother (cleared when you close the tab), and local storage to remember whether you muted the game’s sound. This information stays on your device.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how the website is used. It does not use cookies, does not track you across websites, and does not build profiles of individual visitors.
2. How do we use your information?
We process your personal information to:
- Respond to your enquiry and follow up about our services.
- Provide and manage our services if you become a client.
- Keep our website secure and prevent fraud, spam, and abuse.
- Run the game leaderboard, including showing entries publicly, preventing spam and cheating, and removing inappropriate names.
- Understand how our website is used so we can improve it, using aggregate information only.
- Comply with our legal obligations.
We process your information on the basis of your consent, which you give when you contact us, and where necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, to meet legal requirements, or for our reasonable business purposes.
3. When and with whom do we share your information?
Leaderboard display names and run details are public by design. Apart from that, we share personal information only with service providers who help us run our website and business, and only as needed for them to do that work:
- Web3Forms, which delivers enquiry form submissions to our email inbox
- Render, which hosts our website
- Cloudflare, which delivers our website, protects it from attacks, provides cookieless website analytics, and hosts the game leaderboard and its database
- Our email and business software providers, which store our correspondence
We may also share information:
- Within MDS, between our Singapore and Shanghai teams, to handle your enquiry.
- For legal reasons, if required by law, court order, or a government authority.
- In a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of company assets.
4. How long do we keep your information?
We keep your personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this notice, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law, such as for tax, accounting, or other legal requirements. When we no longer need it, we delete or anonymize it. If that is not possible, for example because it is stored in backups, we store it securely and isolate it from further use until deletion is possible.
5. International transfers
MDS Collective Pte. Ltd. is based in Singapore and we have an office in Shanghai. Our website and service providers may store and process information in other countries, including the United States. When we transfer personal information across borders, we take reasonable steps to make sure it receives a standard of protection comparable to the protection it has in your country.
If you are in mainland China, by submitting your information to us you consent to it being transferred to and processed outside mainland China for the purposes described in this notice.
6. How do we keep your information safe?
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections to our website. However, no electronic transmission over the internet or storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise that unauthorized third parties will never be able to defeat our security. Transmission of personal information to and from our website is at your own risk.
7. What are your privacy rights?
Depending on where you live, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you, and ask how it has been used or disclosed.
- Correct personal information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Withdraw your consent at any time. This does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew.
- Ask us to delete your personal information, or to restrict how we use it.
- Receive a copy of your personal information, and ask us to explain our processing rules.
Singapore (PDPA). If you are in Singapore, we handle your personal information in line with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012.
Mainland China (PIPL). If you are in mainland China, you have the rights set out in the Personal Information Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China, including the rights to know, decide, access, copy, correct, and delete your personal information.
To exercise any of these rights, email our Data Protection Officer at hello [at] mdscollective.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.
8. Do-Not-Track signals
Most web browsers include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) setting. No uniform standard for recognizing DNT signals has been finalized, so we do not currently respond to them. As our website does not use tracking cookies, this has no practical effect on how your information is handled.
9. Minors
Our website and services are intended for businesses and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Updates to this notice
We may update this privacy notice from time to time. The updated version will show a new “Last updated” date and will be effective as soon as it is posted. If we make material changes, we may notify you by posting a notice on our website.
